Good News

I was contacted a few months ago by the German publishing company Die Gestalten, and they asked me if I would like to submit images of my Munnys to their book "Dot Dot Dash." I found out recently that I got in. The book comes out in October. Here is a link to the books page. And if you want to buy it, you can pre-order from Amazon.com for something like $40. (It won't hurt my feelings is you don't)

Midnight showing.... worth every penny.

After my last post I feel I need to prove I'm not a "geek." Unfortunately, I don't know quite when I'm going to the gun range so my Smith and Wesson photos have not been taken yet. In the mean time I've set up a facebook album for my Seattle trip:

Seattle Album

Also, I've found an awesome website: www.utilikilts.com/

Lastly, I found some furnishings for my Seattle Apartment. We were going through Peter E's Grandfathers house a few weeks ago. His family is moving there and selling their old house. I spotted these great Danish Modern chairs and ask if I could have them. The family sold them to me at a really cheap price. Anyway, I got them yesterday and instantly started scrubbing and sanding. They had been sitting out on a screen porch for the last 40 years, so the varnish was all flaky and the cushions were covered in this weird black gunk. With a little elbow grease and some help from Noonan, they now look great. I oiled the wood and put some vinyl protection on and now they look like this:

I Defraged my hard drive the other day. I hadn't done it.... ever, so it was pretty bad looking and it took about 6 hours to do.

Goin' to St. Louis

So I've just been hanging out in KC for the past few weeks; working on getting my stuff together for the big move. (I've also been playing a lot of Donkey Kong 64 with Noonan.) I picked up this years Boats On Boats T-shirts today, and they are pretty sweet. Unfortunately I can't post picks because it's a surprise.

Tonight I'm driving out to St. Louis and will be there for 3 or 4 days. By this time tomorrow I will likely be floating down a river drinkin' cheep beer. I'm going to try and get in touch with those that are still in town, but give me a ring if you are in STL and want to get together.

Monkey in a bit

Hey I thought it was time for another update. I'm back in KC now and have been for a couple of days. The Seattle trip was fun, but thoroughly exhausting. Here are some pictures from the second half of the trip:

Dasta visited me over the weekend. 100 points for her.

I'm not sure if I'm mentally ready to move yet, but I think I'm gonna have to. I have been offered a job with Chihuly starting in September, and would be a fool to turn it down. I'm crossing my finger that I can get another person to move with me, because that would make things a hell of a lot easier.

Free Lance Villain, though the site is parked currently, is still moving along. Here are some low-res examples of what I've been doing:

There is still a ton more to go and I'm not working as steadily as I need to be, but it is on its way.
